* Partner with design and manufacturing engineers to develop weld joints and assemblies that meet performance and manufacturing requirements.
* Select welding processes, equipment, consumables, and parameters based on materials, design, and production needs.
* Work with production teams to troubleshoot weld defects, distortion, fit-up challenges, and process variation.
* Support weld qualification through mechanical testing, metallurgical evaluation, and review of inspection results.
* Establish weld quality requirements and coordinate with Quality on inspection and nondestructive examination.
* Develop and maintain welding procedures, work instructions, qualification records, and technical documentation.
* Identify opportunities to improve weld quality, throughput, cost, and production scalability.
* Support new product development, manufacturing planning, and production-readiness activities.
* Support critical project milestones, including extended hours or weekend work as needed.
